Time for the best fighting of all: INVICTA!

The ladies return and that makes life better.  Sure, UFC 211 was pretty good, and UFC 212 looks like it could rise to the level of pretty good, but Invicta is the greatest of all the greats.

Vanessa Porto (18-7) vs. Agnieszka Niedźwiedź (9-0)

Vanessa Porto (18-7) vs. Agnieszka Niedźwiedź (9-0)

Flyweight

What Happened?

Even fight, mostly on the feet, neither dominated. Aggie seemed a bit better on the feet, but again, hardly a route but Porto was able to kinda gut through things and especially used TDs to keep things off balance.

Who Won? Agnieszka Niedźwiedź, dec.

Should You Watch?

Nah.

roxanne modafferi
Roxanne Modafferi (20-13) vs. Sarah D’Alelio (11-6)

Flyweight

What Happened?

Roxy was brilliant here. Beautiful technique, particularly on the ground. She almost had an armbar from guard and later took the back like it was nothing. Mount like she was born to do it. Hard elbow that left a canal-like gash.

Who Won? Roxy, R2, TKO

weidman KO TKO belfort

Should You Watch?

YES

Tessa-Simpson-4

Herica Tiburcio (10-4) vs. Tessa Simpson (5-1)

Atomweight

What Happened?

Back and forth on the ground. On the feet, Tessa was a bit better due to her reach. Fight was close. Not a ton of action or anything.

Who Won? Herica, dec.

Should You Watch?

It was ok  for what it was.

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Murphy vs Faszholz

Elizabeth Phillips (6-5) vs. Kelly Faszholz (3-2)

Bantamweight

What Happened?

They fought. Faszoltz or whatever maybe a bit better. Even. Blah.

Who Won? Kelly, dec.

Should You Watch?

Eh.

Hot sexy KGB LEE

Andrea Lee (6-2) vs. Liz Tracy (3-1)

Flyweight

What Happened?

KGB was better overall. She seemed to have good size, a frame that looks perfect for the class. Her striking was good but not devastating. Tracey had better TD and may win based on that. Close fight at the end of it all.

Who Won? KGB LEE, split dec.

Should You Watch?

Nah.

 Ediane Gomes vs. Pam Sorenson

Featherweight

What Happened?

Gomes was better. It was “work-woman-like.” Both tough but … blah.

Who Won? Gomes, dec.

Should You Watch?

No.

Tiffany Van Soest (0-1) vs. Christine Ferea (1-0)

Strawweight

What Happened?

Tiffany won via decision. She looked ok in that you grade her on a curve Bc she’s a neophyte on the ground. It would be easy to write her off just based on her first two fights but she’s really just an amateur. Maybe in a couple of years she’ll be something good. There’s a reason she second from the bottom on the show.

Who Won? Tiffany Van Soest, dec.

Should You Watch?

Nope.

 Shaianna Rincon vs. Brooksie Bayard

Bantamweight

What Happened?

TD. Back take. Pounding. Choke? No. Punches. Rincon has her feet crossed, like an amateur. And she loses the position. Oma plata threat? Honestly, unless you’re in there with a real black belt, don’t roll to escape it. I mean it. No one EVER finishes it and I wonder if most don’t actually know how to do so. That was the first round. The next two was both standing their ground and firing pistons at each other’s face. Good stuff.

Who Won? rincon, dec.

Should You Watch?

Sure.
