The UFC is broadcasting the 2015 UFC HALL OF FAME MEDIA CONFERENCE CALL for all of us to listen to the whole thing. We have it right here at halfguarded.com that you can listen to it also. I imagine it will be awkward and filled with media members trying their best to curry favor with fighters who by definition are retired.
The 2015 UFC HALL OF FAME MEDIA CONFERENCE CALL will probably talk about the newly revamped UFC Hall of Fame. From UFC.com it is:
- Modern era wing: commemorating fighters who made their pro MMA debut in the modern era
- Pioneers era wing: commemorating fighters who made their pro MMA debut in the pioneers era
- Contributors wing: commemorating significant contributions outside of active competition
- Fight wing: commemorating the greatest and most important bouts in the sport’s history
This year’s main inductees into the 2015 UFC Hall of Fame are: BJ Penn, Bas Rutten, Jeff Blatnick, and the second Matt Hughes vs Frank Trigg fight. (Yeah. It’s still kind of weird to me that they’re inducting a fight but … Not my company.)
