Cerrone threw his fight with dos Anjos, that’s the only thing that makes sense. He saw that being champion would limit his ability to fight every other week and he couldn’t bare that. I write this because Donald Cowboy Cerrone is fighting next month. Really.
He’ll take on Tim Means in the main-event of a UFC show from Pittsburgh on February 21st. I don’t know if it’s a Fight Pass or FS1 show or whatever. I do know: Donald Cerrone is insane. This man will fight five times in 2016. That’s the only official prediction I’ll make because predictions are usually stupid.
It’ll be like two months since Cerrone last fought. And he’s moving up a weight class no less! Right, I forgot that part: yes, he’s going to Welterweight because why the fuck not? He’ll probably end up fighting Matt Brown in April, Nick Diaz at UFC 200 (after Diaz is exonerated from the bullshit NAC pulled), and probably the WW champion by September. He’ll either win and defend in December or fight Mark Hunt or someone because in Donald Cerrone’s world you cannot fight often enough.
Because he’s insane.
