Hey, look, free video for this upcoming UFC Boston Fight Night Preview Show Of Death, giving us what could be something magical. And I’m not overstating that. Cruz vs Dillashaw in a battle of breakdancers. Oh, there are fighter I’m more interested in – Pettis v Eddie Alvarez, for one – but the return of Dominik Cruz is particularly special to me, just because I think he’s the single greatest fighter in the history of the sport. It’s a horrible shame that injuries have taken from him the chance to be seen alongside the all-time greats because when he was in there, at his best, Cruz was five years ahead of where everyone else was. Even Dillashaw, who clearly aped much of his style from Cruz, isn’t there. His transitions aren’t as smooth, he doesn’t kick as well, and he controls distance exclusively through excellent footwork – whereas Cruz can do all that, but better, and keep distance with kicks, long punches, and so on. Truly, the fight should be just flat out amazing. And this is just the preview show! We’ll have the HOW DID WE GET HERE series later, a column by Matt Grady where he gushes, and more. Until then, enjoy UFC Boston Fight Night Preview Show of Fun!
