You must do the thing for its own sake not as a means of achieving something else. The pleasure must be in doing not in accomplishing. Accomplishment is an act of ego, it is satisfaction borne of anticipation. This is to presume to know how things will be, which is to see oneself as a god, and to see oneself as a god to is to one day plot to become God.
