Historically, newspapers and magazines have been hesitant to publish the letters they receive. They prefer to look down on the public (rightfully so). This is why there is no “Lettes to the Editor” section or “reader feedback.” We of course always break from tradition and publish a single piece of mail – that one item that sums up all the thousands of messages a day we receive.
