Right foot, hospital, left foot, morgue, but a stroke? That means retirement, so says Mirko CroCop. The one time PRIDE FC Open Weight GP Champion, and many time runner up to real titles, said on some TV show that he suffered a stroke and is thus retiring from MMA.
So it goes, before his bout with Roy Nelson last month, Mirko endured a seizure but didn’t tell anyone. Croatians are tough like that. Or stupid. He beat Nelson and looks to have been in the hospital so recently that he still had the bracelet strapped to his wrist when appearing on the television.
The real question is: is this for real? Has the one time most fearsome striker walking truly called it quits?
“I will never enter the ring again,” he told Nova TV. “I cannot let anyone hit me. I have to have (an MRI) in three months, (and) after that I will train again, boxing bags, but there is no such thing as a fight.”
