Dracula Untold 2 is a potential sequel to the 2014 moderately successful film exploring the origins of Vlad Dracula, blending both real-life elements of Vlad the Impaler with some completely made up crap about Dracula getting her powers to fight people from Turkey. So he became a vampire and fed on the Taurks… IT WAS REALLY A THANKSGIVING ORIGIN!
The biggest piece of news is that Luke Evans himself has said he’d LOVE to return as Dracula:
“I think it was a really enjoyable process for me. I think it definitely had a few flaws in it but I’ve had a lot of good feedback from and I get people asking me will there be a sequel. We left it very wide open, you know, this is a character who could transcend many different times and different periods of history. Who knows. I’d love to bring him back in some concept or context, but honestly, you know as little as I do when it comes with what is going in on the dream rooms of Universal Studios. I really don’t know.”” Evans said once to Screen Rant.
Dracula Untold 2 Release Date
The Dracula Untold 2 release date is currently unknown, we had hoped for Dracula Untold 2 in 2018, but we believe it’ll come in 2020 or possibly 2021. No greenlight has been given. The only way to get it sooner is to vote in our poll, which has been scientifically proven to change the world.

Dracula Untold Sequel
Director Gary Shore has said he thinks there’s so much history to explore in a sequel that he isn’t quite sure where to start, but the idea would be to bridge the gap between the Vlad we encountered in Dracula Untold with the classic Dracula from Bram Stoker (tie in some other undead, like the walkers from Zombieland 2, and I’ll be even MORE excited). Luke Evans is said to be pretty interested in a Dracula Untold sequel as well, saying he’s been working hard for quite a while, and is happy to see the success his first film has enjoyed. He kind of half reminds me of Kate Beckinsale pre-Underworld. She’d been around for a while, was talented and on the cusp of mainstream success, but it took a cool action flick about vampires to move her past supporting roles. I think Evans has more potential than Beckinsale, but there’s a definite similarity.
Dracula Untold 2 Director
Gary Shore directed the first film, and has expressed interest in returning for the sequel. He mentioned a few times that he thinks there is plenty of history to mine with Dracula. While the end of the first film indicated a sequel in present times, why not have ol’ Dracula show up throughout history? A WWII Dracula story could be cool. There was some video game about a female vampire (red hair, sexy clothes – it was awesome) but why not see what trouble Dracula could get into with Nazis or something. Maybe he’d be the good guy and stop them. Maybe there was never a nuclear bomb and they just dropped him on Japanese cities and he did his bat thing? I MEAN THE POSSIBILITIES SOUND KINDA COOL.
Will Shore direct Dracula Untold 2? Not sure, but this is a franchise that I think you could treat the director as less than essential. Think Fast and Furious. Heck, Evans was IN one of those! Do you care who directs them? OF COURSE NOT! If you’re seeing Fast and Furious movies, you likely aren’t even aware that films aren’t real.
Dracula Untold Sequel Writers
Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote Dracula Untold, and will likely return for the second, but if I may suggest another option, how about bringing back Bram Stoker? I know he’s dead, but they should have the science these days to bring him back, much like a vampire, so he can give his own take on the original vampire’s origins! What? You don’t think it’s possible? READ A BOOK, BRO.
Or they could hire the writers of Vampire Academy 2. Why not? They CLEARLY know vampires! Or not.

Dracula Untold Sequel Cast & Stars
The cast of Dracula Untold 2 will likely not have a whole lot of returning faces, other than Luke Evans, but that kinda works and makes Dracula sort of a James Bond-esque character.
- Luke Evans – Evans played the titular anti-hero Vlad Dracula, and while he has a lot of potential as a vampire, he wasn’t exactly playing the version we’ve seen on screen in the past. Hopefully he isn’t too busy making Immortals 2 to make this.
- Samantha Barks – Barks’ character in the first film was cut to improve the overall pacing of the film, but she was to play Baba Yaga, a folklore witch. She was in Les Miserables and is both beautiful and a darn good singer. Maybe she’ll sing her way into Dracula’s heart, in a TOTALLY UNTOLD way!
- Sarah Gadon – I could see Gadon returning as Mirena, maybe moreso in flashbacks to show Dracula’s tortured history.
Best Actor/Actress in Dracula Untold 2: Luke Evans
Luke Evans is easily the best actor who we can guarantee will be in the Dracule Untold Sequel, and he’s a pretty darn good actor overall. He has a cool look, not unlike your’s truly, but with less of my rugged handsomeness.

Potential Dracula Untold 2 Plotlines
Dracula Untold 2 Plot Option 1
The film opens on Dracula feeding from a menstruating woman, hating himself while also loving the taste. Drac whispers that he will see her again in a month, and she thanks him. But a bad guy appears! Another Turkish army has come to his land to take over, and while the women love him for his… service… every month, their lack of a need for tampons doesn’t mean the rest of the townsfolk aren’t scared. They say they won’t fight for him, and Dracula has lost his people! What is he to do? Well, obviously he goes on a reputation-building campaign, not unlike many politicians, but he goes for the people’s true love: baseball. Vlad turns into a bat, but not the flying kind. As a long wooden stick used to whack balls, Vlad becomes loved by his people, sort of like the bat from The Natural, and they play a massive pickup game of baseball against the Turks, who are notoriously good at playing ball, but are also well known for playing dirty. They sweep the knee of Dracula’s best hitter, and he transforms back into a man and proceeds to eat every one. Then he runs the bases for the last 15 minutes while various Queen songs play.
Dracula Untold Sequel Plot Option 2
Dracula regrets becoming a vampire and joins a support group full of millenial-like other monsters, such as Frankenstein’s monster, Kevin Bacon from Footloose, a reverse werewolf (a wolf who becomes a man during the full moon) and several women. They chit chat for most of the film before Dracula literally dies of boredom. He joins the audience (that’s YOU!) in the afterlife where they discuss much better storylines for a Dracula Untold sequel.
Will the Dracula Untold Sequel Be Worth Seeing?
Heck yes! Especially if it follows either of my potential storylines! And even if they go the typical Hollywood route and make it another action/fantasy film (SO TYPICAL) it’ll still be pretty good. Most likely.
Dracula Untold 2 Box Office Forecast
The first actually did a lot better than anticipated, but that’s mainly due to the international box office, which helped the film make a total of $221 million. On a $70 million dollar budget, that isn’t too bad, but also not amazing. I’d expect the Dracula Untold 2 Box Office to be a fair bit lower.
Final Thoughts on a Dracula Untold Sequel
Come on. It’s Dracula Untold 2! It’s gotta be good! They never make sequels to bad movies (I Am Legend 2 not withstanding). I have every faith in a sequel to Dracula Untold.
Dracula Untold 2 Update (12/20/16):
So it looks like following the release of the new trailer for Tom Cruise’s The Mummy that Dracula Untold 2 is likely not going to happen. Universal Studios wants to reboot all of their monster franchises to be in a single world, and while Dracula Untold could fit in to that, they want The Mummy to be the starting point. I kinda get this. I don’t like it, but Cruise is going to likely be the anchor of these films, sort of like Robert Downey Jr. in Marvel’s films. And he wouldn’t want to play second fiddle to Dracula Untold, no matter how good it could be.
Plus, who knows if Dracula will end up being the villain in the crossover monster film? It seems totally plausible, as Dracula is the most famous and dangerous of the monsters, but it’s still too bad.
Maybe (fingers crossed), if The Mummy bombs, we’ll get our sequel to Dracula Untold after all. Keep voting to see the follow up! We might be able to show Universal that there’s plenty of demand for Luke Evans to continue kicking butt!
Previous Dracula Untold 2 News (9/27/16):
Luke Evans just gave an interview where he mentioned the potential for a shared universe between his Dracula Untold flick, Tom Cruise’s Mummy and the other potential monster films that Universal has in their stable. He said their have been continuing conversations, and with the potential for The Rock to play the Wolfman and Javier Bardem to play Frankenstein’s monster it could happen pretty soon. Most likely there’ll be plans drawn up and some tentative story ideas drafted but not executed upon until the Mummy movie comes out and (hopefully) crushes it at the box office to spur on the decision to expand this universe. That said, even with a successful Mummy movie we may not sequel a mash up. It could end up coming down to Tom Cruise and if that franchise can stand on its own. He might just want to keep fighting mummies and not want to link his films with the others. He’s a powerful dude. That said, if his Mummy leads to a Dracula Untold sequel, I’m up for it!

The mitochondrial donation procedure was the next step after donation of eggs and surrogacy. Now, even 40+ years old women have the opportunity to independently carry and give birth to genetically their child. Earlier, many have criticized surrogacy, claiming that it is the exploitation of the female body and the disparagement of honor and dignity of a woman. With mitochondria donation, a barren woman herself carries a baby. The donor only shares healthy mitochondria necessary for successful conception. But even here not everyone is satisfied with the ethical side of the issue.
Thus, some doctors from Britain claim that “the two spheres of application of this method – assistance in conceiving and avoiding transmission of a genetic disease – are very different from a moral point of view”. And therefore, they propose to apply the program only for patients with serious genetic diseases.
Ukraine decided not to dwell only on the genetic cause of childlessness, and successfully uses the method of mitochondrial donation for treatment 40+ women with infertility. Some European doctors believe that this technology may also increase the chances of artificial insemination. Ukrainian embryologists, on the other hand, are already conducting mitochondrial donation for patients who have gone through numerous unsuccessful IVF attempts.
To remind, the first “child from three parents” was born in Mexico. Why did the first such children appear not in New York, for example, but in Mexico City and Kyiv – in countries in which no one expected an innovation headship? The answer is simple: because in Mexico and Ukraine it is not prohibited, as for example, in the USA. That is why a team of American doctors traveled to Mexico to conduct such a program there.
The Greek team of doctors also worked together with the Spanish Embryology Center. The Ukrainian experts did everything themselves. They have all the necessary for this – equipment, legality of conducting programs using modern ART, and, most importantly, highly professional specialists in the field of embryology and gynecology.
Today, the global medical community is more focused on helping women with genetic diseases that can be transmitted to the fetus or affect its development and life. Just saw it again today. And really like it. If the director and producer just stick to the original story as the end promises, do a healthy flesh out the old vampire’s character, he could be an antiquity collector and Vlad has something he needs, etc., you’ll have a good movie. JUST PLS get a great screenwriter, someon who is know because this could be a really entertaining franchise. It’s amazing how Hollywood has lost it’s innovation and not knowing when they have a jewel. Don’t waste time – you got great actors in this and they are only getting older.

Come on, MAKE IT HAPPEN! we’re all wanting to see a great movie sequel here. Luke Evans is an amazing actor, I enjoyed Dacula untold and it was a great vampire movie and it sure beats that pussified Twilight garbage any day, that’s for sure. Even some of it’s special effects reminds me a little of Castlevania: Lord of the shadows part 2 (video game) personally lol.
After the way the movie ended, it opened a door of possibilities, so the story deserves continuity and it NEEDS continuity.

Let the games begin! If that is not a cliff hanger clue that a sequel should be in the offing, what isn’t? Question: Whose games? Why? The Cave Guy’s games, of course. Why do I suspect that this might be a set-up for a franchise of sequels? Drac vs Cave Guy? What about the other vampires created at the battle of the Borgo Pass? There are too many story lines from “Untold” that simply cry out for follow-ups!
The Cave Guy as you called him is Julius Ceaser (Caligula) aka the Master Vampire or the first vampire, was turned into a vampire after his assassination and would prove to be an interesting story line like something along the lines of Lestat and Louis in interview with a vampire, via the need to get away from their makers and the clear lack of power of both Louis and Vlad in comparison to Lestat and caligula.

It was a great movie. the entire cast was exceptional. Charles Dance is my hero. Christopher Lee would be proud of Luke Evans.

I hope it’s released in 2017, wish it was this year(2016). I’m very excited that they are making Dracula Untold II. Luke is the best actor for that part. I think part two will make an outstanding amount of money. Can’t wait!!!!

This is by far the BEST dracula movie to date. I would 100% see the sequel. I just hope they dont cheap out and go cheesy after this most successful version. And keep it set in the earlier period but incorporated into modern day as well.

I would rather it not be present day. Show what happens in between the first movie and when he meets the present day Mina look alike. I love the old world tales and no Bram stroker I’m sorry his dracula is too corny
I would like for the sequel to pick up where it left off but to go more in depth about the other vampire who created dracula and for us to discover some of his plot for dracula. I want it to start with the new vampire plot for dracula but end with vanheilsing stepping in to the picture and may be comming the next villan for the third movie.

I agree I think the movie the sequel that is should take place where the first one left off let the games begin we need to know what happens it wouldn’t make much sense not to continue where the first one left off we need to find out what meant by let the games begin what he wants Dracula 4 and if that is Dracula’s wife Mina reincarnated and what happened between them

The word GAME was mentioned, therefore part 2, should start off just S they left it, but going back into the past of a cat and mouse game through the centuries with the 3 main characters… Vlad always trying to find his wife, reincarnated and the other Dracula, killing her, cause if they come together then the other Dracula has to go back in prison for eternity.. Something like that!

I think they should start the second one out exactly were the first one left off at. Cause the Demon that gave him the power said he was going to call upon Dracula to do whatever it is he was wanting him to do. Plus we need to find out what happens to his son and also see if that woman he meets at the end of the first one discovers that she may be Dracula’s wife reborn in another time.
In regards to what happened to his son, what could he have done apart from reigning as king and then he dying from old age. >

I think Dracula Untold is Awesome movie and they can’t just stop at one! They set the story line and need to finish it out with how many ever movies it takes! Everyone I talked to about this movie is waiting for next one! So hurry up with it!!!

The new Mummy movie sucks , it’s garbage , i love Tom Cruise but that movie was one of the most boring movies i’ve eer watched , and i’ve watched alot of movies, i do not care what critics say , The Mummy is garbage. Whilst Dracula Untold , is one of the best Monster movies i’ve ever watched.
Even if you liked the Mummy , if you can’t recognize that Dracula Untold is way better , well , you’re an idiot.
I’m not even going to beg for a sequel , directors these days never take what the people watching their movies want into consideration , they just do whatever the hell they want , but i can assure them , that a sequel for Dracula Untold would make aloooot of people happy , whilst also making them wayyy much more money than a sequel to The Mummy , or any other monster movie reboot.
