Not a ton of news today, which is good. No news is good news. Unless you’re in the news business. Which … nah. This site is just for jerking around. Anyways. Here. We. Go.
FEDOR FIGHT SAMBO IN RETURN TO MAT
Fedor is going to fight in the Combat Sambo Championships. This will be happening on November 25th in Monaco. He will then fight on New Year’s Eve against a blind man holding a stick or something stupid.
Ryan Bader is a Coward
Anthony Johnson has been calling out Ryan Bader, saying the two should fight because everyone knows it’s going to be Cormier vs Jones next. Bader does not want this. Bader is a coward. I suppose he thinks he’s guaranteed a shot at the belt. Because the world can’t wait to see him in a PPV main-event…
“We have the utmost respect for Anthony Johnson,” Bader’s manager David Martin told FoxSports.com. “We think he’s a tremendous talent and he’s got good representation. If I was advising Anthony, I’d be telling him to do the exact same thing – call out Ryan Bader. Why? Because that’s your fastest track to getting a title shot and that’s what these guys are in this sport for to be champion, and title shots don’t grow on trees.”
GET OFF BROCK LESNAR’S LAWN
Brock has become Al Bundy now, living on past glory, wishing for a life that never was. This is from his visit on the Steve Austin podcast last night:
“It wasn’t a bluff. I felt robbed by diverticulitis. I felt robbed by being sick. I was feeling good and it took me a couple years to start feeling good. I’m at home, I’m working out, my life is great, everything’s in tune, my contract’s coming to an end with WWE, hey it’s been a great time but something’s missing.
“I was up front and totally honest with the company and told them I’m really thinking of pursuing getting back in the Octagon.
“You saw me (at 100 percent) in the fight against Randy (Couture) but it got worse. When I’d get halfway through a training camp and I knew something was wrong. There’s something physically wrong with me so I need to figure it out.
“I started training camp. I wanted to test myself and see where I was — not more physical, but mentally. I wanted to see the mental challenges that it was going to take. If your head’s not in the game, the last place you want to get into is in the Octagon.
“It was really unfair for me. To this day, I don’t know if I’d be a pro wrestler if I hadn’t gotten sick. I may not be here. I’d still be banging heads.”
Yes, Brock. Life has been unfair to you, what with your ability to move like you do, at your size, and make millions and millions.
Please no one tell him I said that.
