@HalfGuarded
Part II of our look at pro wrestling video games is here, focusing on the N64 and PSX era of gaming! We had some audio issues throughout the show (DAN) but hopefully it’s not too noticeable here. We first take a look at the WCW games of the late nineties- Nitro and Thunder, Mayhem, and Backstage Assault, with Brad giving us his ideas of why WCW Thunder was the best representation of WCW during that time period. We move on to the Acclaim WWF games, War Zone and Attitude, and how they were pretty good for their time, but they don’t hold up all that much years later. We also briefly talk about WWF Royal Rumble and the death of the arcade scene, as well as WWF Betrayal, a beat ’em up where you and your rival fight on top of Titan Towers for the WWF championship. Oh, and Stephanie gets kidnapped or something. ANYWAY, we then finally talk about the AKI games, including WCW/nWo Revenge, World Tour/WCW vs. The World, Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 and yes, Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy, with Brad having some interesting opinions on the game. All this and much more this week on the Fire Pro Podcast!
