Iiiiiiiiiit’s time! Mike here, doing that thing where I write about me writing about stuff in some sort of new meta-commentary but one that goes beyond what anyone ever previously thought possible and simultaneously creates while entering a new form of high-level art.

The UFC has produced for our consumption a number of fights to get us ready for UFC 209. The first Wonderboy vs Woodley fight, which is good but a bit overrated, and others. Most important is that they’ve given us (I mean, I’VE given YOU) Khabib vs. Michael Johnson from UFC 205.
I keep rewatching this fight. I’m addicted to it. I’m in love with it. It’s now one of my all-time favorite beat downs. I can barely comprehend that it’s real. It’s exactly how you’d imagine the toughest man in the world beats someone up. It isn’t emotional or reckless, it’s simple, direct, controlled violence. It’s the kind of violence that is scariest because it’s replicable.
If Khabib represents all Muslims, then the war of cultures is over and the West just doesn’t know it yet.
