Hey, it’s that thing we do where I put up a bunch of videos (usually from like not-America) and briefly talk about them, all related to the fights that are about to happen at UFC Scotland. Docu-drama is my specialty, what can I say.
Mr. Scotland himself, Michael Bisping.
Fresh off his winning TUF (back when that mattered) Mr. Scotland took on BJJ black belt, Elvis Sinosec. Bisping actually shows off a lot of the skills that would make people take notice in this fight, notably his ground and pound and outstanding hip movement.
Short and sweet, featuring world-class BJJ expert Thales Leites doing what he does best. Though his go-to submission has historically been the arm-triangle (maybe the best in MMA history) here he changes it up a bit.
More from Leites, this time a little later in his career. After he’d fought Anderson Silva for the title and lost, and then been cut, Leites would come back and take on Tim Boetsch this past January. It was a wild affair (this reads like some cheesy press release) that saw Leites do what he does best in the end, securing his arm-triangle choke (told you it was good). This brings Leites’s winning streak to eight, with five of those being inside the UFC Octagon of fun.
Not the entire fight, but highlights of Ross Pearson taking on multiple time UFC Lightweight title challenger, Gray Maynard. Pearson made a statement here, with what may be the biggest win of his career.
And while not fighting, let’s enjoy the boys at Fox Sports 1 talking about the Bisping vs Leites main-event.
And this. Which is … I dunno. The UFC “Learning Scottish.” I’m sure it’s enlightened.
