Judge Kavanaugh, who has been accused of something by someone, is the Supreme Court nominee you’re hearing about in the news. Some think he hates women, abortion, women having abortions, and women thinking about other women having abortions. He has sent us these, his prepared remarks:
“While I deny the allegations made against me, knowing in my heart that they are untrue, I understand her pain. Too many women have been victims of an uncaring culture that turns a blind eye towards their suffering. Though it was not me that night, it is very likely that some other man abused her. Her experience is one I’ve spent my entire life attempting to shield my daughters from and I only hope I’ve done a good job as a father in that regard. There isn’t a night that hasn’t gone by where my entire focus, my entire being, the very core of my soul, has not been concerned for women. Women. Not just the women I know but all women. Women need to know that the law is not sexist, that they do not need to live in fear of men’s out of control sexuality, and that I am there for them. That is why I would also like to state unequivocally that Roe v. Wade is settled law and that a woman’s right to choose is unequivocal. Now, which side wants me to be their next justice?”
There were then hand-scribbled notes in the margin:
“Watch the world burn.”
