Beaverton OR-
After the announcement that Colin Kaepernick is the face of Nike’s 30th anniversary campaign which caused thousands of conservatives to call for a boycott of the famed athletic apparel giant, Nike has signed a new face of the brand in George Zimmerman.
The controversial wannabe but isn’t good enough to be police officer is looking to rebrand himself as America’s Neighborhood Watchman and this should catapult him right in that direction.
Zimmerman’s face will appear on billboards around the country with the Nike Logo and the slogan “Just Prove It.”
The new line of sneakers will start out with a launch of the “Air Zim 1’s”, a running shoe called “The Pursuits”, and the practical everyday shoe “Stand Ur Grounds”
When asked about the media campaign and working with Colin Kaepernick, Zimmerman said
“Yeah, I’ve been watching him. I’ve got my eye on that one.”
The move has already received praise from the GOP’s most prominent members as Ted Cruz tweeted out
“Bout ta cop dem Zim 1’s fam!”
NRA Head Wayne LaPierre has immediately contacted Nike to put out a line of ammunition with the iconic Nike logo on bullets and also brand a rifle tentatively named the “ARUBLK-23”
