RIPD was a massive failure in the theaters, this isn’t in doubt. That said, it’s not like Hollywood hasn’t doubled down on stupid in the past.

I received a call from a low level agent saying there would be RIPD 2. I think he’s just trying to drum up work for a client of his but we might as well report on it, best we can.

Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel, right? Well, this could still be good. There’s something to the idea of cowboys meeting Ghostbusters and having sex and their spawn being this movie. I mean, I like all of those things so why wouldn’t I like RIPD 2: RIPD Blue? Exactly, none of you have a good reason for why this shouldn’t be made. Of course, I’m mostly basing this on the word of one executive, a man who once lost a game of pool to me and refused to pay the bet because, “My wife won’t want to have sex with you because I lost a bet, ok?”

Who’s directing RIPD 2?
Robert Schwentke failed in his quest to direct a pleasurable go around the first time. He then did a bunch of Divergent movies so he’s kinda Hollywood crap, ain’t he? Probably richer than I’ll ever be though.

Peter M. Lenkov created RIPD the comic book and it’s a shame that his vision was butchered the way it was but maybe he can come back and save the franchise he created.
