Robert Kirkman has a new TV show coming soon to Cinemax. Yep, Cinemax. Why? My hope is it’s low grade porn, with some nerd stuff (I like the stories, not just the boobs) sprinkled in to keep me interested. Basically, I want to be so engrossed in the story that I sit in my own liquid children just so I don’t miss any of the good stuff.
Too gross?
Back to Outcast Patrick Fugit, the main guy from Almost Famous, is Barnes, and he has been struggling with demonic possession in one form or another his entire life. Now he’s going to find answers, but he may have to help others along his journey as he finds his place. One such person is a young boy who is not only possessed, but possessed by something that may have a connection to Barnes.
And so the story goes until he finds out he’s secretly been a lady this WHOLE TIME. Too soon? Sorry Caitlyn, but this movie was intense:

In general, the comic has been a slow build, with almost a “monster of the week” feel to it, so it should lend itself well to TV. The trailer seems to hit on the overall feel and themes of the comic well, and the house used is like a dead ringer for the comic. Almost to a creepy degree. What Kirkman did for zombies with The Walking Dead he is attempting to do with exorcisms basically.
