I don’t consider that bait and switch as it’s your fault if you can’t read. Anyways, there’s news out today that a movie will be made about Ronda Rousey‘s life, based on her (best selling?) autobiography, “Ronda Rousey: My Fight Your Fight.” We have a pre-review HERE and will have a re-review (sometimes known as a “review”) very soon. I finished the book and can say, long and short of it: I nailed it with the pre-review.
Variety was the one that broke the news was strategically chosen to act as a mouthpiece for whichever studio executive at Paramount decided he was trying to curry favor.
The Ronda Rousey Movie Trailer will naturally be shown here at halfguarded.com because that’s what we do: talk about movies and MMA and such. So: duh. The book and thus the movie will be completely original and in no way will follow the basic pattern of: Rocky, Rocky 2, Rocky 3, Rocky 4, Rocky 5, Rocky 6, The Fighter, Million Dollar Baby, Warrior, Southpaw or any other movie where someone fights and they use fighting as an allegory for their internal struggles.
Oh, and Rousey herself will star in the film because why not. No word on who will play the role of her somewhat nuts mom but I vote for Susan Sarandon. She could play needless hard-ass mom who makes you run when injured and tells you to train on a torn ACL.
