Bear witness as Mike is back. Again. This initially started as a possible look at Mr. Robot but never got there, so ignore the part about Mr. Robot spoilers. Instead, Coughlin talks abuot Cinemax’s The Knick, starring Clive Owens. But in reality, it devolves into a look at the Syrian refugee crisis currently gripping Europe: how Europe and America have been odd mirrors of one another when it comes to race relations at times in history, the difficulties facing an open and progressive society that attempts to maintain a cultural identity while embracing “outsiders” and those in dire need of help.
We don’t want to give it all away here, because then why would you listen? This may or may not make any sense to anyone, anywhere, ever, and for that we apologize. All attempts at looking at the issue were done with an eye towards honesty while also being sensitive to all sides – even those not often represented.
