The UFC, which is owned by billionaire gambling tycoons, is once again deciding to partner with Unibet to give us their 20 minute preview thing, this time on the UFC 190 betting odds – odds set by Unibet.
My previous curiosities about this endeavor still stand: UFC is essentially telling you what are good and bad bets – on fights they made. This isn’t Pete Rose betting on his own team; this is Pete Rose telling you whether to bet on his own team.
Oh well. As a general rule, Dan Hardy and Guy Who Sounds Kind of Like Dan Hardy At Least In Terms of Voice Pitch, do a good job breaking things down.
So for all of us pure individuals, who embrace the path of Buddha and therefore reject gambling (I assume Buddha doesn’t gamble), we can watch and ignore the part where Dan Hardy is all, “This what should bet on instead of taking that money home to your kids.”
And for all you others (read: Europeans), well, only some of you watching this can even use Unibet and so the responsible thing to do is only bet using Unibet. Otherwise, you won’t be acknowledging the purpose of the UFC and Unibet partnership. Which would be rude.
