Germs. Ladies. Dogs. UFC 190 is upon us, headlined by Honda Housey and Bethe Correira in a special “How Many Seconds Does This Last” main-event. This is your live coverage/results. Like, well, how we always have them. Yada yada, UFC video preview, our written preview, Five Star Radio preview, press conference, weigh ins – you know how this works. Time if a flat circle and the UFC never lets us go backwards or forwards.
Our coverage is the crown jewel of this brightly decorated ceremonial helmet we call HalfGuarded.com. Tonight will be no different – just a little different. So different but not.
All updates will be fight by fight instead of round by round. I’m doing all of this with my phone while watching with my family in Northern Minnesota.
Odds of sobriety decrease as the evening grows. Nonetheless, it will still be better, smarter, and funnier than everyone else. Go ahead, compare us to them. We welcome it. YAY FIGHTS NOW!!!

UFC 190 RESULTS SUPER SUPER PRELIMS (FOX Sports 1, 8/7/6/5)
3. Iuri Alcantara vs. Leandro Issa
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Issa won the first using excellent ground control and BJJ mixed w GnP. Alcantara dominated the 2nd w strikes. Several knock downs and almost a finish. Alcantara spent the third beating on Issa. Came close to finishing a few times.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Alcantara d. Issa, dec
Rating: one ripped off Scouser out of three
4. Warlley Alves vs. Nordine Taleb
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Alves won. Dominated the first though he looked to be tiring. But he found a second wind and locked in a guillotine for the second.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Alves d. Taleb, sub
Rating: One Frenchman losing by irony
5. Rafael Cavalcante vs. Patrick Cummins
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Bloody fight. Mostly Cummins using his wrestling to wear on Raf. Cummins’s eyes almost completely closed shut. Then Cummins finished it with brutal elbows in the third that was lights out.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Cummins d Cavalcante, TKO
Rating: One American mentally breaking a Brazilian as is usual.
6. Neil Magny vs. Demian Maia
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Maia dominant in the first. Takedown and then constant smothering. Almost had an armbar as the round ended. Second round was the same but with Maia getting the back en route to the rear naked choke.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Maia d. Magny, sub
Rating: Maia being Maia
UFC 190 RESULTS MAIN CARD (10 p.m. ET/9 Central Time Which Is All That Matters/8 Mountain Man Time/7 Pacific Coast I Hate Your Time Zone Time)
7. Jessica Aguilar vs. Claudia Gadelha
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Gadelha overwhelming in the first. First to the punch. 2nd round the same. Gadelha just a quicker and stronger puncher. Aguilar having success w leg kicks but her broken nose is a stream and the Brazilian is just a harder puncher. And Rogan legit just said a joke about fixed fights before QUICKLY walking away from that one.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Gadelha d. Aguilar, dec
Rating: A vindicated Wanderlei Silva.
8. Soa Palelei vs. Antonio Silva
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Nothing first round. Second saw Bigfoot land a shot then trap Palelei against the cage and land a ton of punches leading to the finish.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Silva d. Palelei, dec
Rating: Andre the Giant stuffing Hogan’s slam.
9. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Stefan Struve
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Nog tried but failed to get it down in the first. Nog landed a few punches but Struve was finding his range by the end and landing more. 2nd round saw Nog briefly get the back then mount but then lose it. On the feet Stuve was successful with his front kick. Nog pressed but took punishment – as is his way. Struve landed at will in the third. Nog took everything and never stopped walking forward but he just got the shit beat out of his face.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Struve d. Nogueira, dec
Rating: Beating up your dead grandfather.
10. Dileno Lopes vs. Reginaldo Vieira”TUF: Brazil 4″ Bantamweight Final
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
First round was hang your balls out action. Wild exchanges on the feet. Both guys close on guillotines. Awesome! Yay! Both slower in round two. Lopes bleeding with Vieira being fresher. That said, Lopes did damage with body shots. Lopes went for broke on a guillotine. Vieira bleeding all over. Good fight.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Vieira d. Lopes, dec
Rating: Couple of flying balls.
11. Fernando Bruno vs. Glaico Franca “TUF: Brazil 4” Lightweigh Final
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Highlight through two rounds was an exhausted Bruno walking to wrong corner. Fight and actually bad but just … there. Third had some good slung leather. Franca had like three fully locked in rear chokes before finally getting one with 30 seconds to go. Bruno tried.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Franca d. Bruno, sub
Rating: Succeeding after first failing.
12. Antonio “Lil Nog” Rogerio Nogueira vs. Mauricio Rua
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Round one: OMG AWESOME. That’s your analysis. Watch it. Round two was blah. Three was very good. Given that I expected them to both simultaneously fall apart this lived up to my diminished expectations hype.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Rua d. Nogueira, dec
Rating: A painful alternative to a corvette.
13. Ronda Rousey vs. Bethe Correia – UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship
WHAT DID I JUST SEE?!?
Ronda came out – said to the world “Fuck this” and just threw hands and knocked out Bethe in 30 seconds. Absolutely absurd.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Rousey d. Correia, KO
Rating: Vitor Belfort with boobs
