UPDATE: They just announced that the October 3rd UFC 192 Main Event will be Daniel Cormier defending his newly won UFC Light Heavyweight Title against Alexander Gustafsson. While the fight was known to be coming, this announcement made it official. Tickets go on sale, like, in the next few days. UFC 192 comes live from Houston, Texas, so it’s a bit of a home coming (kind of) for Cormier.
He probably grew up closer to Houston than Bisping did to Glasgow so it counts.
No other fights were yet announced but I’m guessing the UFC targets this as a big show. Oddly enough, if there are two light heavyweights fighting for a title I don’t mind being in front of the incompetent Texas commission, it’s these two. They’ll probably self regulate better than Texas would. Oh, and the USADA stuff too.
So, that’s a lot better announcement than Mighty Mouse. YAY!
They just teased a “major” UFC PPV main event announcement. Last time it was a let down because last time it was Mighty Mouse vs Dodson. I’m going to double down on my last prediction and go with Cerrone vs. dos Anjos being announced for … October something.
We shall see and have this here post updated the moment it is announced – THE VERY MOMENT, PEOPLE!
