A few weeks back, Urijah Hall almost died. Prior to his scheduled fight with Vitor Belfort, where the torch of “Biggest Waste of Physical Talent” was to be passed, Hall fucked up his weight cut and nearly bit the big one. You don’t need to be an expert in science to know that being on death’s door is a poor way to spend the night before a cage fight.

It was probably the most dramatic experience I ever had. I mean, I was in and out of it. I was conscious, but I was unconscious. I knew it was happening, but I was fighting over it. I was punching.
I think I had a mini-seizure and at the same time a slight heart attack. My kidneys just were not good.
The doctor even said even if I had made weight I probably would have died the next day cause my body wasn’t having it.
As much as I neglected my safety and my health, which was the dumbest thing to do, I will never do that again.
In light of one of its potential stars of the future coming dangerously close to dying, the UFC has announced the following reforms:
